Table for one

It seems, in the rearrangement of my gardens this year, I made the ideal set-up for the squirrels.
The lilac bush, stripped of its finery for the winter, is just the perfect little chair for my little diner.
Of course, I do need to have a word with him about his table manners...

    Wouldn't Pup love to have a go at him! She just discovered squirrels and it's a good thing they are all faster than her.

    Ha, what a lucky guy. Such an interesting color for a squirrel, we don't have them in that shade out in these parts. Love your backyard wildland.

    I pruned my rhododendrons this year, so the chipmunks and squirrels don't have such easy access to the birdfeeder. But the plus is, I don't have to refill the feeder as often. And birds are *so* very exciting (the cat tower naturally provides an excellent vantage point to observe the birdfeeder).
