My Chicago Peace Rose is in full bloom and it's a curious rose bush.
When I bought it, the label made it look like the roses would be yellow, edged in red. In truth, there's no red - it's pink. And the flowers aren't necessarily just edged in pink. They are a wild mix of cream, yellow, peach, coral and bright pink - and every subtle shade of each.
Some are pale, with subtle variations ins shades
Others are bright and vibrant shifting like a bold ombre.
Then there are some that are mostly pink with very little yellow at all.
Or mostly yellow!.
It's a curious bush, and the biggest of all my roses - both in flower size and bush size. The blooms don't last as long as some of the other roses, but they are spectacular while they last.

That ombre rose is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! You have such a green thumb.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite rose of all is a pale pink one with dark leaves. I don't know the name but it looks a lot like your first one. Everyone had one when I was a kid and I loved them so much I used to eat the petals!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blooms - I like how they are all different.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses, in all the different color variations.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful shades of pinks. From pallor to bold they are all stunning.
