A tisket, a tasket...

Finally! I've emerged from the never-ending garter short rows on the Kleio shawl
Lace - here I come!
I know some people who love knitting garter - they find it relaxing.... they can just zone out and knit. But for me, I seem to want to zone out so far that I almost fall asleep. I'm so glad I'm ready to start the lace section.

But... what's this over here....
It's the yarn caked up and ready to cast on for Princess Franklin (but in scarf form)..... yes..... miles and miles of MORE garter stitch.... what the hell am I thinking?

And like my little yarn basket? It was part of my Christmas present from my brother and sister-in-law. It contained a whole bunch of lovely bath goodies.... but honestly, as nice as they were, I was just really stoked about the basket. Even my SIL (who knits) confessed.... she really didn't care about the bath stuff in it... she bought it because the basket was so cool.

I think we've been spending too much time with our cats....

I have often gone after those cosmetic freebies just to get what they are packed in. LOL Can I sit over by you and the cats?

Princess Franklin is gorgeous, but OMG the weaving. It would make pretty placemats too. :)

The basket is cute! Can't wait to see which kitty sleeps in it first.

I'm looking forward to seeing what these shawls look like as they get close to the finish line.

Oh don't you love a beautiful basket!

Basket was the only good thing about my birthday present from MIL this year; the rest was food I couldn't eat. I think I might use the basket for knitting though.

Loving your shawl so far, the colour is so pretty in silk

I'm a basket junkie too. Baskets and wool just go together.
