Karma kookies

It's almost 10 p.m. on a school night, and I am baking...
Normally I don't bake this late, prefering to spend my evenings knitting... but there is a dire need for karma kookies.... otherwise known as chocolate chip cookies for my coworkers, so maybe crappy things will stop happening to and around me.

You see, January has been one hell of a month (yes, I know.. it's only the 9th) but there's the roller coaster ride of Tux's amputation, car troubles, friend's children in the hospital, some unbloggable stuff (stuff that's not my business to tell, but still affects me deeply)...and to top it all off, this morning began with a car accident (very minor, no visible damage to either car, and no injuries other than some body aches that are being relieved with a bubble bath and a large glass of bourbon).

So, as you can see, I've seriously got to get my chakras aligned or something... and hopefully these delicious cookies put me back on the path to good stuff happening again...

Anyway, when things get stressful, what's our motto?

Just keep knitting, just keep knitting....
My lunch hours have resulting in two repeats of Mr. Dress up being completed. (And seriously, just touching the Twisted Top Cat is enough to put a smile on your face... so soft!)

On the home front, I had the urge to cast on for another shawl. I picked out some gorgeous Slinky Cat in Velveteen Rabbit and Majesty
I've cast on for Kleio
As you can see, I haven't gotten very far, but hopefully the cookies do the trick, and I can find the time to put some miles on it this weekend.

And here's wishing you all a better January than I'm having!

I am so sorry about the car accident. Glad it wasn't worse than it was.

January here has been mixed. Some good -- medical stuff. Some bad --- big $$$ car issues.

But like you said ......knit, knit, knit the stress away. That's what I'll be doing.

Glad to hear Tux is doing so well.

Wow....we've been having the same January around here. We thought that when 2013 was over our luck would change but it's been one stupid thing after another. I need to go bake some Karma Kookies, too!
