Last night I did indeed finish the first of the Nutkin socks (which I have affectionately dubbed 'nutlets'). The pattern shows a funky little ridge where the toe starts, which doesn't seem to be in the pattern. It also call for a short row toe, but I left off the funky ridge and just did my usual grafted toe.
I think they are quite cute, and the yarn (more shameless self promotion) is just as nice to wear as it is to knit with.
I might start the second one on Friday (working 12 hours tomorrow, so no knitting time there), but I have the urge to finish my pink sock... I'm almost to the heel and I picked it up after finishing nutlet #1 last night.
I'd really like to get it finished so I can make the pattern available to you all.
But back to the nutlets (can you tell I like saying that?)... for the second sock... should I do it the same (as the pattern says) or should I reverse the pattern so it's the mirror image?

Looking good!
I won't get much knitting time in tomorrow, either. Well, not til the evening. Dr's appt at 10 (he's notorious for cancelling, so I won't be surprised if it doesn't get rebooked for the second time, it has been changed once already), take Ma to town to get Pa's paycheque (he's away) and do her stuff, company coming around noon for an hour or more, then off to get the Oldest One at 2 to take him to the orthodontist (1/2 hour drive away) and do some other things while I'm down there. Too much! Cuts into my much needed knitting time!!
Love the socks! I don't know it might me kind of tricky looking if you reversed it, but either way the socks are going to be great when they are done.
I still can't believe you knit on dpns ... lol
Cute sock! I would definitely mirror the second...sounds like it will be too cute!
Ooh, that's a hard one. I love the way that sock looks! I'd go with mirroring it -- think how cool that'd be (says the woman who doesn't have to figure out how to do it...).
Very nice! I am late on this comment, but I think reversing it would be nice - but I'd never do it myself!
