Alright - here we go - the first WIP check in
As of January 11, I had 8 WIPs on the go.... three pairs of socks, two cardigans for myself, a baby cardi, a shawl and an afghan.
I pledged to get two pairs of socks, a shawl and baby sweater off the needles. And I did just that! However, I am still over my WIP goal of only 5 projects.. as I kinda cast on for two new projects (The Cranberry Bonnet and The Stray Cat Shawl.)
So, as of February 1, 2013 I have 6 projects on the needles. A hat, two sweaters, a pair of socks, a shawl, and an afghan.
My goal for February is to complete the hat (the cranberry bonnet) the shawl (Stray Cat Shawl), the socks (Dave's hero sock... which are moving along better now that I'm on the foot - but I'm still on the first one...) and ideally one of the sweaters (The Silver Cardigan).
However, I do also have to have two presents done before March, and they may impede the progress.
The first is the Lady Bug Jacket.
This is going to be for little Miss Nora - her first birthday is just over a month away. I've dyed up some Fat Cat specially for this, and I'm itching to cast on.
The second project I can show you, as the recipient may or may not read my blog. You'll just have to wait till late March for the reveal.
What do you want to finish this month?

I don't feel so bad about the number of WIPs I have. I cast on for a different baby sweater (thus putting the blanket on hold again) but that brings me up to two.
I cannot believe Nora is going to be a year old already! CRAZY. Time flies.
Socks....I need to finish socks and lots of them so I can cast on that lovely yarn you sent me and make something pretty for a change.
That Lady Bug Jacket is the cutest thing ever btw. I can't wait to see it.
NOw that's adorable.
I want to finish my blanket for our family room!
Congrats , at least you're making headway . I'm stuck in slow motion . I'd like to finish the hat and scarf for Stella , the second mitt of a pair of fingerless mitts . I'd also really like to get the socks that have been on the go since last December done and dusted . That's just or starters ...
You've got so much knitting going on!
I've currently got 5 WIP for knitting, 3 socks and 2 jerseys. I'd love to finish my KAL socks and the Central Park Hoodie.
For sewing I have 2 WIP, neither cut out, but both far enough in planning I consider them to be WIP. I want to finish the chemise this month and get the corset at least cut out.
Quilting, just 1 WIP which is our quilt, but that's going to take a while as it's a lower priority.
Cross stitch has 1 WIP too, that's been partially completed for 8 years now, not sure when it'll get finished
I'm hoping to finish a sweater I started in January, but to do that, I'll need to do more knitting on it than just in my spare time between classes!
That's a lot of progress! I'm battling start-itis right now so I'm really trying to use every ounce of self control!
I want to finish my Alcyone shawl and another cowl.
