I was so looking forward to this weekend. I had no prior engagements or commitments. Dave was going to busy working on his car, so I'd more or less have the house to myself. I was through the body on the new cardi design, and I was sure I could finish it up if I focused on it all weekend.
Alas... as you can see..
The cardigan is not finished. In fact, after a weekend of knitting, I'm only 1/4 of the way through the knit-on lace edging. Admittedly, part of the time was eaten up by designing that edge, but still... I expected to be much further along.
Part of that is just me grossly underestimating how long it takes to knit things....and the rest...
... let's just say some knitting helpers are more helpful than others...

OMGosh ...............that FACE!!! He looks like he is concentrating so HARD on how to help you knit that edging! LOL
In my experience it seems to take a lot longer than you might think to work knitted on edges. I have a love/hate relationship with them.....love the look of them, hate to knit them
Love the lace edging - color is perfect! Your "helper" may be slowing you down a bit, but that would be ok in my book. How can you say no to him??
That's okay. The blue you are on right now for the top is so lovley.
Kittens are only kittens for a bit, so ENJOY!
Nice edging! And yes.....critters do eat up your crafting time. Little dogs are as bad as kittens.
Oh, but what a sweet helper!!! The lace edge is a beautiful touch! Keep knitting!
What a great knit helper! My "helpers" are 45 and 50 lbs, so they really are no help at all!
Love the cardi and the cute little knitting helper!
