A-blocking we will go

Yep...
She's done and on the blocking board. Again, sorry for the terrible picture. The deep dark dungeon is the only place to safely block away from the fat but of a certain feline I won't name...
Anyway, back to the cardigan. I ended up cutting it a couple rows short. To knit as written, I would have had to crack into a new skein of yarn. I had another one, but it just didn't seem worth it for a measly two rows of ribbing, so I bound off with about 10 inches of yarn to spare. (And that means I still have a full skein of this scrumptious yarn left!)

I've said it before - I hate blocking entire lace garments. It's about the only thing I hate about seamless knitting. Fortunately, the designer shows pictures of the best way to block so I took her advice and did just that. I didn't pin out the sleeves - they are nice and snug already so the lace will stretch properly with wearing.

It should be dry by the weekend, so keep your eye out for a proper FO post soon.

Yeah, it looks a little strange now, but I am sure it will be stunning when worn. Can't wait!

Man that was fast. You are one knitting machine! I never thought about blocking a shaped lace garment. That can't be much fun.
