Back when I showed you the start of the white silk lace cardi I started, I mentioned that I also had another project on the go.
And considering the time of year, it's not a project you'd expect me to cast on. In fact, I didn't intend to cast on. I just printed out the pattern to save for later.
But I made the mistake of leaving the pattern out on the couch. Where I could see it, day after day... and well...
I'm through the first ball of yarn and the first half of a sleeve of Maeve.
Like I said. Not the type of thing one normally thinks of knitting in the heat of high summer... but I just couldn't resist. And hey... by the time I actually finish this, it might even be cool enough to wear it. It will be perfect for winter though, just a giant, wooly, purple hug!
It's miles and miles of stockinette and garter, so it's definitely not a process knit for me. I'm hoping I can keep the end product in mind and not be bored to tears. The fact that it's worsted will make things a bit easier... and so will the several seasons of Dr. Who I have left to watch while I'm knitting....
Wish me luck!

Sounds like the perfect Dr. Who knitting. The color purple is very pretty.
I downloaded that from Love Knitting, it does look beautifully snuggly.
I totally get it. I would have to cast that on too. It's adorable.
I love the sleeves. I know how it is...when the pattern time is right, it matters not the season!
Lovely! I just printed this pattern off, too, so I can see why you couldn't resist. So far, I am trying.........
Knitting and series watching sounds so dreamy right now! I love when you get all inspired and go with your knitting mojo. It's so fun to follow along and see where you'll go. I love that color.
