Since I cast off my colourwork project, I've been working monogamously on two projects (yes, I'm aware of the contradiction in that sentence - you'll see what I mean in a minute).
This hot mess of luscious camel/silk and beads...
... it the Lafitte shawl. When I'm at home, I lavish all my attention on it - lovingly wrapping yarn overs, and adorning it with delicate beads.
But when I'm at work...
... my lunch hour is filled with frantic passion for my red-hot Wollmeise sock.
Now here's my dilemma... as you can see.... I'm ready to finish the toe on the Wollmeise sock. I'm so close....but I'm at home, when I should be adoring the Lafitte shawl.
So - do I openly flaunt my extra-curricular activities infront of the Lafitte shawl and finish the Wollmeise sock so I can start fresh on the second sock at lunch? Or do I save it, and savour it in secret and let the Lafitte shawl think she's still my number one?

Do I even have to say what I'd do? I'm pretty sure you could guess!
SOCKS SOCKS SOCKS SOCKS SOCKS
Sock. Sock, sock, sock! Go for the sock!
;-)
Finish the sock, the shawl knows she has no real competition so she'll be fine with it. She also knows if the sock is finished you can concentrate on her with no niggles.
Lafitte will be sharing the spotlight eventually, might as well let her know now that she's not the only one! (But reassure her that you love her just as much as before ;o)
Flaunt the versatile knitress inside....take the shawl into the world for all to envy...the sock will understand...♥Debi
I say leave the sock for lunch. Princess Lafitte will throw a tantrum and you'll have pick back a couple of rows, I'm sure! ;o)
The shawl is going to be with you a long while. It'll have to know about the others sooner or later.
Sooo? What'd ya do?
