Treasures for Chicago

Back when I was still making jewellry for craft shows, I used to love seeing this little sticker. It's from Fire Mountain Gems, who were my main supplier. Every month or so, I had a new box of goodies to sort through!

Well, when the conference trip was announced, I decided it was time to pay my favourite bead site another visit. You see, as part of conference, there's an awards dinner where every one dresses up fancy and celebrates. I don't have the money to go out and buy a new party dress... but I do have an LBD and a gorgeous lace cardigan.... paired with the right jewelly, it could be suitably fancy....

So I decided to make something to match the shawl pin I bought to go with LeStrange
I already have the pearls and aventurine beads, what I was lacking was the copper findings. I had a few dollars in my paypal from the sales of Twyla and Bubbles. And a quick browse around Fire Mountain and...
This will be the centrepiece if the necklace.
And some fancy head pins for the earrings...

And since poor little polkadot dress still doesn't have her red cardigan
She's going to get a nice coral necklace.

And since I was thinking of packing Hitofude and her favourite dress... she needs something special too.
These serpentine drops would make a nice accent.

Now I've just got to clean the studio so I can actually get in there and make all these treasures.

"Wait.... what's all this talk I keep hearing about Chicago???"
"You're not leaving me again... are you?"

Ooh, pretty! And poor Tux (and the other kitties) will miss you. Do they sulk when you go away?
