Making an Exhibition

Despite Burton's best efforts,  I have accomplished some knitting.

When I started working on my collection of train sock patterns, I'd planned to only cover the stops along my commute. But there are actually three more to finish the entire Lakeshore West line... and three more socks isn't that much, so it seemed silly not to include them.

One of them is Exhibition station - the second to last stop, and the one that is very busy at the end of the summer as people visit the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).
So for this one, I've designed a lacy little ankle sock - perfect for summer fun. You can't really see the lace until it's stretched out, put I promise, it's there.

I'd actually hoped to have the first sock done yesterday. I was supposed to be taking the train both ways...lots of time to knit. but when I got to the train station, I discovered they were having a door issue, and the train wasn't going anywhere soon. So I hopped back on the bus and worked from home.

I got a little more done in the evening, but it's not quite finished. Oh well.. there's always Wednesday...

Love the color combo. Is it dyed that way or are you doing striping yourself?
