I was up at Mom's dyeing yarn today (more on that tomorrow), so I took the opportunity to get some pictures of my latest sock design.
As you can see, they are simple little lacy ankle sock with a leaf medallion motif - the perfect thing for spring or summer. But this pair hides a secret...
The back panel is completely different from the front - so I've dubbed this design the "Secret Garden" socks.
I liked the back panel so much, that I'm turning it into its own pair of socks, (that's the buttery pair I'm working on right now) it's going to be the "Garden Gate" socks. I have a third pair sketched up which Mom will be starting for me shortly. They are called the "Garden Path" socks. With any luck, the e-book featuring all three will be ready by summer.
These were a fun little knit, though you could definitely make the leg longer if you so preferred. Personally, I adore short socks - especially short white lace socks.
Seriously... what's not to love!

Adorable! I love the idea of having the front and back different. How clever!
Beautiful socks.
I love your shoes too. Very cute shoes.
They're lovely, if you need a test knitter at any point let me know. I've got a skein of Alley Cat BFL in Lavender that would look lovely in that pattern.
Supercute socks! I love looking at lacy socks and I keep dreaming that one day I'll be able to knit up a pair of those.. And what a fitting name.. Secret Garden socks.. Lovely!
Lovely socks, and what are you wearing, that looks interesting. I too love the shoes!
Very nice! And I LOVE those shoes! :)
