Yesterday morning, I had just two and a half inches to go on the body of Old Town. So I settled in a spot of sunshine with my favourite furry feline and set to work.
It took most of the day (because I was also having a severe ADD day and couldn't sit still for more than two rows at a time). But, by about 7 p.m., I was casting off
If I'm honest, I'm not loving this knit right now. I did the mid-length (just past my bum) but I'm wondering if I should have done the tunic length version (though the thought of knitting that much more on the body makes my eye twitch - not to mention I'm not sure if I have enough yarn).
I tried it on last night and it's just a little.... frumpy. That said, it has no sleeves, hasn't been blocked and I was still wearing wrinkled the pajamas I'd slept in the night before...
But I'm going to give it a chance. I'm going to finish it. If I don't like it, it can always go in the Christmas box for someone else.

I LOVE it. You'll love it when it is done. It is going to be perfect.
It's a beautiful sweater. I agree with Kathy: finish it, and you'll probably love it. Once the sleeves are in and it's blocked, then paired with a cute dress or top, it will probably look great.
The pattern on the front is very pretty and it's a pretty color. I'm guessing it will look just beautiful when it is all blocked out.
Oh I hope it works out ... you certainly don't sound too enthused! I've been looking at sweater patterns trying to imagine them on my body shape :(
I know that feeling. But you're close and really I couldn't fathom the tunic size. That's a lot of fabric and what if you tried and you ran out of yarn? That would be heart breaking.
You're almost there, see how you feel. I think it looks great, but you know best :)
Tux has old man eyebrows!! Love that face. Fingers crossed on the knitting.
I love frumpy but that's just me. I love the way it looks right now. It would make a splendid vest.
You're at that almost finished stage where you just can't stand the project any more. I'm right there on my sweater project, too. We'll see if I finish; I have a severe case of caston-itis!
I'm looking forward to seeing it finished, so hard to judge at this point.
I'm with the others - you'll love it once it's sleeved and blocked. It's going to be gorgeous!
