So, as I mentioned yesterday, despite getting Shleeves done in time for the party, I didn't get a chance to wear her after all. So far, this summer has been down right cool by Ontario standards - we've only had a the a/c on a handful of times this year, compared to almost daily, which is the norm.
But wouldn't you know it, the one day you wouldn't mind a sunny, but cool day... we get to swelter?
Regardless, I did take Shleeves with me. And Samantha helped me get some FO pics
It fits fantastic in the back and sleeves, and is quite comfortable to wear. Around the front....
Well let's just say I'm a little bustier than the model in the photo. But making it longer would mean making it wider in the wingspan, and I think that would just be too much (not to mention I would have needed more yarn). As mentioned earlier - the pattern calls for 3/4 sleeves, but I ended up with halvsies. But I think they work.
Overall, it's a fun little cover-up... or at least it will be when fall comes.

It's lovely! And what is with the weather, I ask? It's been alternating 60s and 90s here. Though more to the cool side, which I don't mind- saves on the electric bill.
It's beautiful! Very romantic. I could see it in white over a strapless wedding dress.
Halfsies worked perfectly. Shleeves is beautiful!
It is a beautiful piece, one of my favorites!! I think it is very elegant looking, and you look great modeling it! You will enjoy wearing it as the temps cool, for sure!
Absolutely beautiful! The half sleeves look great!
Super cute shleeves. You look great in it. I agree with Nancy Kay, very elegant!
