Tux-a-roni-roo

Poor Tux.

He had a bad night the other night. A very bad night. So bad, I was pretty sure that we'd be making a final trip to the vet on the weekend. Dave convinced me to wait a bit more and see what happened. He seemed to bounce back the next moring, but we both spent most of the weekend recovering on the couch.

He's snuggled in between my legs here (my feet are at his head). We're going to keep a very close eye on him, but hopefully, we're okay for now.
This has to be the hardest part of pet ownership... knowing when its the right time to say good-bye.

So familiar. Dear Old Doggie hung on until the last. It was a roller coaster in those last long weeks. It was so hard to make that final decision but when I did the vet said it was just a matter of hours. Not that it made me feel any better. Nothing makes you feel any better except knowing it was all you could do. I gave her the best life that I could, that dying part was all on her.

Poor Tux, and poor you. You're right - the most difficult part of pet ownership is making hard decisions for a loved companion who can't say what he wants. Hugs!

I know what you mean. But in any event, please give him a big kiss from me.

Hugs to you. We went through this last year this time. It never gets any less heartbreaking but I wouldn't trade it for all the happy times

I totally understand. Hugs to you and Tux.

Knowing how limited on time they have with us is always heart-wrenching. Tux clearly loves you (very much!); he has a loving home and family, and is evidently very happy - something all of us pet owners strive for. Hugs to you and Tux, I know how hard all of this is.

I would say as long as he is resting comfortably .... it's not time yet. I think all of us in blogland will miss that boy almost as much as you will. He is SO darn adorable!

Poor Tux. I saw an update that he's feeling better, but those pictures pull at my heart.
