Cranky socks

As you already know, we've got a free shipping sale on in the shop this weekend... (use code CANADA50), but we also added an extra service....

For the last few years, Mom's been offering her cranking services to fellow Ravelers... cranking out socks on her sock machine in exchange for yarn, fibre, and sometimes money.
Because, face it, while we all love knitted socks. We don't always love knitting them. Sometimes it's the pattern, sometimes it's the time it takes. And some people just don't like to knit socks at all. Some readers here don't knit at all, but would love a pair of homemade socks...

So she's decided it's time to offer this service to the wider world....
So now... if you see a yarn in our shop that you like, for an additional fee, Mom will crank it into a custom pair of socks for you.
It's really perfect for  when you just can't face knitting a pair of giant man socks, but the giant-footed man in your life is so deserving of a pair.

There are current size/style limitations, but if there's something outside of that you'd like just send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate.

And now that I'm done blathering about having someone else make socks for you... I really should cast on for Dave's second birthday sock...

They are absolutely beautiful. Not at all what I would think of as machine made socks. They are twin pieces of fiber art!

Fun idea! I watched a man use one of those sock machines at a quilt show of all places. It was quite amazing how fast it went. Hope your mom gets lots of business.
