FO: Pin Striped Socks

Well in time for Valentine's Day...
...I finished up Dave's socks. The pattern is Pin Striped Socks, and it's a nice, easy alternative to a plain ol' Vanillas. It's a simple slip stitch that creates a subtle vertical line. I had to modify the pattern count to work with the smaller cast on and sport weight yarn, but that was pretty easy.
The yarn is Online Supersocke 6. Mom bought it for her sock machine, but when it arrived she realized it was too heavy. It's not the softest yarn, but it should make nice durable socks, perfect for my hardworking man.
We don't go all out for Valentines day, but I always like to have a little something - just to say I love you.

They are so nice! I'm gonna have to try that pattern, I really like it every time someone shows socks they have made with it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Ahhhh, those look really nice Val. After 37 years of marriage, we don't go all out either, but we are going out to a new (to us) Mexican restaurant tonight. Yum!!
Happy Valentines Day to you both.

Warm socks are a GREAT way to say ♥! Love the color ---- Very man-like!

Pin Stripe is a fabulous pattern -- very adaptable.

I bought that same yarn once (by mistake) --- the label says clearly that it was 6-ply and STILL I totally missed it. :-( It DID make some nice, heavier socks. I gifted them to my sister. She lives up north.

Wonderful socks! they look so snuggly warm. We aren't big on Valentine's either. I make a nice meal and we usually watch a DVD in the evening.
Have a nice evening!

They look great! Handknit socks are a great way to say I love you :) Once I figured out that they're the only socks my husband takes on business trips, I started making sure a few pairs a year go OTN. Happy Valentine's Day!
