It finally happened

Peno has stepped outside her box....
Or at least, outside the door. I was harvesting tomatoes with the boys after work tonight (more on that tomorrow) and I turned around and there she was in the middle of the yard.
I leave the screen door open in case the boys get scared and want to run in, but she's never been brave enough to come out. Until tonight...
I figured she'd run back in when I scooted by her to go get the camera, but she didn't. She explored for a few brief moments until she found a good patch of grass to munch, then settled down for a snack. When it was time to go back in, she ran back in with the boys.

Unfortunately though, unlike her brothers, this cat can run - so if she decides to get too brave.... I'm going to have to keep an eye on her.

Looks like her brother was giving her a pep talk. ;-)

Way to go, Peno!

My two girls would go stir crazy if they couldn't get out; totally different personality to your Peno. Their first reaction to the door being open and they being allowed out was to go completely bonkers for a good half hour; they mowed down my linen flax crop.

Good for her! You are taking this so cool. I would be so nervous for them to ran off, I could not stand it. I would put a 6' high fence in just to calm my nerves. :o)

Hooray! :)

Will she wear a harness? I'd be scared she'd scoot away if she gets brave. Then again it took her 1000 years to get this brave.
