Sun-dye

Have I told you about the Iron Dyers?

We are a group in indy-dyers who get together each month for a little dyeing challenge. A theme is chosen, then group members (non-dyers) submit images relating to that theme. One is chosen, and all the dyers dye something based on the image.

This month's theme is The Nightmare before Christmas, and the inspiration image is this
I got my skeins dyed up today... sadly I can't show them to you yet, but drop into the group at the end of the month for the great reveal!

I can show you the other skeins I dyed up
Just a little bit of Barn Cat which will be in the shop in a week or two.

The rest of the afternoon was spent on Mom's back porch - soaking up the last of the season's sun
...and working on socks
I'll have more knitting to show you soon - I got the bottom border done on the Solo shawl, and the top border won't take too long... stay tuned!

I love oranges and purples too! What a fun challenge for you dyers. The pictures of you all on the back porch...so relaxed. The picture of the Lab reminds me of the black lab I had for many years. That picture could be her; she loved soaking up the sun on a Fall day!
