FO: Mary Mead

And here she is...
Mary Mead was a fun knit - a cute little sport weight, cropped cardigan, knit all in one piece. I made quite a few mods. The original has garter and eyelet - I did stocknit and eyelet. The sleeves of the original are full length and narrow - I did wide and 3/4. And I'm very pleased with the result
Because of my short waist, and penchant for wearing dresses, I love a good cropped cardigan. I am however, going to stick with raglans and round yokes from now on though. Nothing wrong with the set-in sleeve (and the seamless construction of this one is brilliant!) - it's just I have narrow shoulders and I find this a little too wide.
The Regia Silk six-ply was nice to knit with, and is nice and soft and warm, without being bulky. My only complaint, is that the yarn show wear quickly. Not a terrible thing.. just a thing...
While it looks great with this jersey, crew-neck dress - I have several other dresses it will go with as well. Another nice addition to my wardrobe, and another fun knit - I believe there will be more Andi Satterland cardigans in my future.

Very cute. That type of cardi looks great on you!

It looks good, but I see what you mean about it being too wide in the shoulders for you. It's almost a drop-shoulder look, though luckily not in the 1980's OTT way.

Yeah for the modeled shots! You look fabulous in it with your great sun glasses as well! (envy over here!) I love how you posted about all of your mods. I think they are great. You really understand garment construction and convey it very well to big dolts like me. Also, I think you understand garments and how they work on actual bodies. I have to start figuring out how to modify things for myself.
