Be prepared

I haven't made as much progress on the Garden Path socks as I would like. Work has been busy and I've skipped a few lunch hours.

But I got a chance to put a whole repeat on them last night after work when I locked my keys in my car and had to wait 40 minutes for Roadside Assistance to come and help me out! I just made my self comfy on the hood of my car, and got knitting!
I was a Girl Guide for just one short year, but the lesson "Be Prepared" has obviously stuck! My goal is to have these done by the end of the month so I better get knitting (though I'd rather not have any more "enforced" knitting time, like last night - thankyouverymuch!)

Oh no....what a story. If it had been me, I would have locked my knitting inside the car with my keys. They would have found me on the hood crying....

I take my knitting EVERYWHERE! You never know when you'll have to do a little waiting.

Glad you had yours along when you needed it.

At least you didn't lock you KNITTING and keys in the car :o)

I'm another "take the knitting everywhere" person; I don't leave it in the car.

Hopefully the weather wasn't too bad while you waited. Ours was dreadful! Somehow enforced knitting time is not nearly as relaxing!

I'm impressed that you had your socks with you...and not in the car. That worked out pretty well. Ha. And I must say, the socks are really LOVELY!! The lacy pattern in gray is just the ticket!
