Rocky the Great Bunny Stalker

About this time last year, the neighbourhood bunnies had all disappeared. (The came back mid-winter in search of leftover bird seed)

This year, while I'm not seeing several at once (in the early summer you can sit and watch them chase each other across the yards), there's still one Bunbun that comes around every day or so, near dusk.
And Rocky is still convinced he's going to catch him.
Bunbun is clearly aware that Rocky is inching ever closer... but he just doesn't seem to care.
Seriously... look how close he gets.
That's not more than two feet... Bunbun just keeps snuffling for bird seed. And Tux you can see, could still care less about rabbit for dinner.
But Rocky just keeps twitching. We were out there for about 20 minutes before Bunbun decided to snuffle elsewhere...
He kept an eye on us...
Surveyed the rest of the yard...
Then headed on his merry way...

and our lovely nightly skunk

Yesterday I spotted a coyote on my way home . It was coming from a very busy subdivision of homes…
watch out kitties and doggies!

What fantastic photos! I love the one with the bunny sitting from the side. You have great photography skills!

I can't believe the nerve of that bunny to let those cats get so close. That's just crazy. I also can't believe the restraint of those cats. It would be bye bye bun bun here in a flash.
