Stuck

There's just something about January.... my dear Stella, tempermental little Diva that she is, decided she wasn't going to run right on the way to work Monday. So up she went to the shop.

Now, it should be an easy and inexpensive (well inexpensive when compared to what all the other things that might have caused the problem would cost) fix.... if the mechanic could get to it. I have a very good mechanic, and he's trustworthy - but it's a two-man shop. And there were two other big jobs ahead of mine. So I've been stuck at home since Monday.

Fortnately, I can do my job from home... but I'll admit, I'm starting to go a little stir crazy
... especially when these two are the the only things to have a conversation with.

Now, as you know, working from home does mean a couple extra hours of knitting time, normally lost to the commute....
But it feels like I'm stuck on this one too. I knit and knit and knit, but it just doesn't seem to get any longer. It's actually at 6 inches from the underarm, but it just doesn't feel like it. Ever have one of those knits?

I keep reminding myself that it will just make the sleeves feel that much faster....

Hopefully your little Diva will be up and running again soon!

My Yogini Bolero sleeves were treacherous like that, and they weren't even full sleeves. Only 3/4. They seemed to take forever.

Sometimes I like the forever part of the knitting....sometimes I can't stand it. Depends a lot on the stretchiness of the yarn. If it does not give at all then I want it over with!

Every second sock feels like that. LOL

Looks like the "boys" aren't in a very talkative mood today. They look they they are in nap mode.

Yes, yes, yes.....the knitting twilight zone. You can knit and knit and you get nowhere. I do it all the time. I had to start using markers to prove I wasn't going crazy.

Your cars over there have to deal with weather ours rarely ever see so it's probably not surprising Diva has thrown a small tizzy. Hopefully she'll be back, better than ever very soon.
In the meantime, yes, I've had the neverending knit. From memory the last one was the Whisper Cardigan (laceweight, stocking stitch). In the end I decided enough was enough and it could stop at the shorter length. I sort of regret that now, but at the same time it's not a knit I feel comfy in anyway so probably best not to have kept going.
