Slump

I'm in a slump with Empire.
I have zero desire to work on it, but I'm forcing myself to put a minimum of one pattern repeat (eight rows) on it each day. As a result, I'm almost to the armpit of the first front. It will go faster then, because I'll also be decreasing the neckline...

But... then I have to do the second front... and TWO sleeves....sigh...

But... I'm trying to get a much done on it as possible, because I've got two projects with deadlines coming up. Empire will be shoved in a basket for a few weeks. The more I have done before that happens the better.

Sympathy on the slump! Perhaps after the deadline projects you can come back to it fresh and on fire!? (Knit outside-it might help!)

Oh slumps - just awful. Sorry!! I like the idea of knitting outside - that might help? Or, you might be distracted by all your plants - lol. Good luck!

I got a slump going also. Nothing is making me happy at the moment except looking at patterns. Dangerous.

Now that's discipline! And very smart. The more you get done now the less you'll have to do when you get back to it. Way to fight that slump!

You are a better woman than I . I love the look of that yarn and pattern. Does that help?

I know that slumpy feeling well. ugh. But! The knit itself looks fabulous. So I approve. ;) You're such a fabulous knitter it will go fast when you return to it from your other two projects. I'm sure those projects (especially w/their deadline) will spur you on!

Sometimes a slump means this sweater/shawl/sock/whatever is not meant to be. Other times a slump is just a slump. I usually slump all things wool in the summer, knit cotton instead. Sometimes I slump when I need to complete a tedious bit or have run into a problem, then I just need to DO IT. Hope your slump lifts! Doing a bit every day is better than trying to slog through a whole bunch at one time. Good luck!
