1. This is what you come back to when you come home and dump your coat, winter woolies and purse on the couch because you're in a hurry to get to the washroom... (I really do drive too far to work!)
Clearly they are completely unrepentent. (And incredibly comfortable.)
2. Yes - that is the barn-raising blanket slowly coming together in the background. Very slowly.
3. Part of that is because I've been working on the man-sock. And I've also cast on for a pair of mitten to go with the Antler hat...
The pattern is Cruiser - and as you can see, it's pretty much a perfect match. I've added a few rows to the cuff, but otherwise, knitting as written.
4. I got a lovely package in the mail today from Knatolee over at Knatolee's world...
Homegrown honey, and handmade soap I ordered from her. These will round out some gifts on my list this year.I love having crafty friends!
5. They are calling for a winter storm, our first real one for the season, so we're hunkering down. It couldn't come at a better time, because it gives me an excuse to stay home and get a few more Christmas projects off my plate!
6. As promised, we're having a sale in our shop - Free shipping all weekend in honour of my birthday. Use the code HAPPYBDAY.

Cats are so hilarious. That thing where they have to put their behinds on everything that is new to a room is just so bizarre. Can you imagine people behaving that way? Hilarious.
Every time I come home, Finn is sitting on the other side of the door from the garage. Every time I hit him with the door as I open it. And he still won't get out of the way. Cats!
What a great idea to have a random post! Though I feel like all my posts are random.. ;-) Cats are masters in making themselves comfortable! Love it!
That soap looks yummy, the people who'll receive those are so lucky!
Happy B-day to you and hope you enjoy hunkering down inside! :)
We have enough snow right now to cover the ground. We got it over two different days, so it wasn't really too bad. Tomorrow, however, is going to be our first "real" storm of the season. L's hockey game tomorrow is cancelled already, it's a two hour drive, and where we have to go always gets it worse than we do here. Not worth risking it, so we are rescheduling. I plan on decorating the tree tomorrow and knit, knit, knit!! :)
I recognize that self-satisfied cat look! I hope you stay warm during the storm (and I just had to also say both that i love your birthday shoes and - Happy Birthday!)
My cat has her face buried in a handknit afghan right this very minute, but I never let her near lacy things. Her front claws are far too inclined to making pulls.
Our storm has been a bit of a no-show. I've shovelled once, a couple of inches, but really nothing to get worked up about. I'm guessing that you're much more in the path of the storm though!
Happy belated Birthday!
