Since Tux's surgery, he's abandoned his favourite cat couch. I'm not sure why - it's nice and cozy, and easy to get in and out of. But more often than not, I'll find him on the people couch or in my bed.
Peno thinks it's absolutely fantastic, at it's now left the perfect spot to catch a sunbeam completely free for her.
And I can't blame her. Yesterday, the best part of being home was laying on the couch, soaking up the sunshine coming through the back door.
One of my favourite things about this time of year is the drive home from work.. day by day, it gets a little bit brighter as I exit the parking garage. The sunlight sticks around for a few kilometers more as each day goes by. Soon, I'll be pulling out the sunglasses and be home before night falls. (And not long after that, I'll be driving home with the top down!)
Spring is on it's way, no matter what that spiteful little rodent said earlier this month!
(Incidentally, the weather man is calling for torrential rain and thunderstorms tomorrow... but I'm not fooled - it's just mother nature messing with us... soon enough the temperatures will plunge again and we'll be hit with another round of snow!)
(Yes, this post was meant to distract you from the fact that there is still no knitting to show you... did it work?)

A cute picture of Peno is always distracting. It worked!
Hope you are feeling better.
I love a tort!!! anywhere any day
I've also been napping in the sun through the front windows this week hoping to shake my end of winter blues. It does help especially when you are joined by a furry friend or two. We've got thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday, warm temps all weekend and then cold and snow next week. Crazy.
I think one day I'd like to come back as a cat. In general if they get a good person they have a pretty darned good life.
Heh. We were predicted to get 3-6 inches Tue- we got 10. And a bonus 4 inches of scattered snow showers yesterday. Snowbanks at the end of my drive are at about 7 feet high, and my car got stuck in the driveway this morning. It's supposed to warm up the next few days here too- I'm looking forward to it.
Your Peno looks just like my Lochi (who passed away last year. I still miss her greatly!) I have another tortie who has such an amazing personality. They are definitely special, those tri-colored kitties!
It worked. I love stories about kitties and their quest for the perfect napping spot. So sweet.
Yep that definitely worked! Little Peno's smart to not let that spot go unused! And I think Tux is just looking/waiting for you on the people couch or in your bed ;-)
Aww, I love Miss Peno! Sounds like Tux is doing very well too
