FO: Garden Gate

Okay.. so I didn't devote all of my time to Lestrange yesterday. I was on the toe of the Garden Gate sock - I just had to get them done and out of the way.
Knit in Alley Cat in "Buttered" they are the perfect summer sock.
They are nice and lacy with just a couple of cables, but the pattern is pretty easy - only four rows so it's simple to memorize.
I do absolutely love this colour - I'm going to have to dye some more. The pattern should be available by mid summer - you guys will be the first to know when it's ready.

And now my sock needles are free! I plan on taking Auburn Wave with me to Chicago, but I'd like to pack a pair of socks for back-up knitting.
I'm thinking my "Vanellope Von Schweetz" Twinkle Cat will be an ideal choice, so I've got to make sure I cake it up and get it in my suit case.

And for anyone wondering.. no, Tux is not particularly happy about me leaving him with Dave for almost a whole week. This was about the look on his face when I told him...
Don't worry Tuxie boy - there will be extra snuggles for you when I get back on Friday night!

Have fun in Chicago! I loved the Vanellope Von Schweetz colourway ... in fact my socks are being gifted at the end of next week and I expect that will be much excitement! Tux looks a bit like a deer in the headlights :)

The Garden Gate socks are fantastic - pattern and color!! Very nice!

And the picture of Tux - I agree with Dee -- PRICELESS. "WHAT? YOU'RE REALLY LEAVING ME?"

Poor Tuxie!! I'd watch him if there weren't two provinces in between us, and what, a 20 hour drive? Have a good trip! :)
