Sleeveless

There it is....

The last Lestrange sleeve is off the needles and on the blocking board. All thats left is the shawl collar and the pretty bottom band.

You're suppose to pick up stitches and knit them directly on the garment, but I'm going to knit them separately and sew them on.
I'm doing this for several reasons:

1) It's lace - and lace is much easier to block in pieces than in a finished garment - especially something like a shawl collar.

2) It's already a large garment, and even though it's light because it's knit in fingering, it would be a lot of knitting to move around and fiddle with as I'm working

3) I don't have to wait for anything to finish blocking before I start on it.

Of course, I do have to wait until I clean my house and get some cooking done. I have company coming tomorrow, but I've been putting of those tasks because I just couldn't put Lestrange down. But now I really better get to it...

Ooh, the exciting part of the knitting where things start to come together. I think sewing the last bits is probably the better idea, it lends a bit of stability as well.

On the housework, not so exciting, but that's what I'm doing today too, after the more exciting weekend of working on the dress and putting up blinds and making sawhorses!

Glad I am not the only one who puts off the less "important" stuff. LOL! I have been late to get dinner going two nights this week due to crafting!

I HATE when life gets in the way of what I REALLY want to be doing (knitting). LOL

Enjoy your company!

Whoo hoo lady! You are almost there, I can feel it! Our apartment is always left on the edge of collapse when I'm stealing knitting time from domestic duty. Good thing I don't care that much and I won't let any of the inmates care either. ha!
