It's Canada Day here in the Great White (and incredibly sweltering) North. Because it's so darn hot, it's been a lazy one. The cats and I have pretty much plunked ourselves on the couch, and Dave has been bravely fighting the zombie apocalypse.
All this lack of movement means Lestrange got lots of love. I sewed the sleeves in, and despite the heat, convinced Dave to take a couple shots of me giving it a test run.
It still needs it's shawl collar (which I've cast on for) but it fits perfectly (even though I look absolutely miserable... blame the heat for that one.)
I love the lace and the length is great - but it will actually end up being a few inches longer, as it still needs it's bottom band.
The sleeves turned out just perfect - nice and slim and an excellent length (though I made a few mods to get them like that)
Now I really can't wait to get it finished - but I think this collar is going to take a while - 600-some-odd stitches per row.... then I still have to do that bottom ruffle!

Gorgeous! Sorry about that heat. It really needs to stay down here where it belongs but I guess it's getting even for that Polar Vortex thing.
Sorry to hear about the heat - it's heating up here as well.....I'm just staying indoors! Beautiful Knitting! It's been awhile, I wanted to stop by and see what you're up to.
How lovely. I think it is one of the most beautiful sweaters I've seen this year
Its hot here as well, I finally got an air conditioner for my yarn room - I prefer fresh air, but its such a tiny room and with my work schedule I am home during the day not, can't knit or spin with sweaty hands. Your sweater is BEAUTIFUL, you really picked a wonderful color for it. I love the sleeves, they look perfect and like they belong with the sweater. It fits you so well.
Gorgeous!! You are getting there.
The sweater already looks absolutely gorgeous. Excellent work and it matches your dress :)
Zombie apocalypse battling is very popular in my home between COD and Borderlands 2. It's not really my thing, but it does leave me to knit in my room and watch whatever the heck I want. ha!
So pretty! But, YOWZA, that's a lot of stitching!!!
