Close.. but not close enough

The first sleeve on April is done. It's a touch on the wide side for my liking and for the style of the sweater, but I can live with it. If I ever make the pattern again (unlikely considering the issues with it) I'd definitely cast on less at the start to make them narrower.

But now, I have two cardigans, each with one sleeve done, and I've run into a serious case of second sleeve syndrome. I just don't want to work on either of them; Sherlock because the sleeve is so long and boring; and April because, even after I finish the second sleeve, it's still not going to be finished. I still have to pick up stitches and knit the bands. With that looming ahead of me, it's just not giving me that "C'mon... you've almost got a finished sweater!!!" drive....

Maybe if I stare at those pretty little lace flowers some more
And maybe if I get those sparkly buttons ordered.....

How can you resist not working on this beautiful pink sweater??? The lacy arms are wonderful !!! The color is so feminine and delicate-lookiing!

Get those buttons ordered! Then you will HAVE to finish up the sweater because you'll want to rock those buttons!

those lace flowers really are quite pretty and oh that sweater will look gorgeous with some sparkly buttons, but meanwhile, knit what you want. You are really good about returning to your WIPs

Blame it on August. I can't finish anything either. I don't even want to start anything. That's bad. I can't think of the last time I had a cup of tea. That's the problem. Too many gin and tonics in the afternoon-and too many naps.

Hahahahaha.....Walter Kendall. That's me signed in under Daddio's Google account because I was checking his email. Hahahaha....He wish he had too many gin and tonics but they are a no go in the nursing home.

Those are pretty sleeves, but I know what you mean; they are like knitting another couple of backs! After making lots of little GK things, big people sweaters seem like an enormous project. And now the GK are all getting bigger......
