Last weekend, I was sitting on the couch, and something caught my eye out the back door...
As you can see, he caught the eye of the boys as well.
Tux got bored pretty quick, but Rocky was fascinated by our new visitor.
At one point, Rocky had his nose to the glass and Mr. Raccoon put his paw to it too. Then he went right back to eating.
Sadly, we've had quite a few cases of rabies in the local raccoons, so as cute as he is, I didn't really want him sticking around. I let him stuff his face, then chased him off. He was stubborn though - he refused to go any further than up the neighbour's tree. From there he watched me clean up the rest of the seed, and put the garbage in the garage. And as soon as I was back inside, he was right back in the yard looking for more snacks. Finding none, he waddled off again - hopefully to greener, safer pastures.

Raccoons are so interesting to watch, but yes --- sadly they aren't known to carry rabies and turn nasty sometimes too.
My friend has a problem with them swimming in her POOL!
That is just sooooooo cute!!!
The frighten me!!! They are so darn cute. Once we trapped one and we had a devil of a time letting it go in the woods. They are like monkeys with their dexterity. Keep those kitties safe!
Adorable! But better safe than sorry.
Wow...that is up close!
