Rupert seems determined to steal every single one of Peno's favourite spots...
After much discussion with other cat aficionados, we've come to the conclusion that he must feel safe where ever her scent is. He certainly seems to like her and the fact that they aren't best friends is not his fault. He talks to her a lot, and has no problem getting in her business (but not in a pushy way like Rocky would have.) She's tolerating him for the most part, but has no problem telling him off when he invades her personal space.
Of course, this particular spot is a little bit of a double whammy. It's actually Dave's chair, and it's suppose to be a complete no-cat zone.
I keep trying to tell Dave that no-cat zones don't exist. And besides, doesn't it look that that spot was absolutely made for Ru?

Ru looks very content there.
Is there anything cuter than a sleeping kitty???
"No cat zone" - yeah. No. :-)
I am in the middle of reading the first of the Harry Potter books (yes, I know rather late to that party) and every time I get to Ron I think of him now as a big orange cat!
There is no such thing as a no cat zone! Period!
we are always amazed when One cat's spot is anothers. Our cats trade SPots throughtout the day at the same time every day.
So the back of the sofa is Tanks all day and Beatle's at night. Hmmmmm.. Cats are so interesting. Glad its going so well so far!
He's very handsome. Maybe he's coasting on his looks.
We have a new kitty, still working on her name. DH really wanted another cat after Mookie passed, and so here she is.
He looks so cozy and content. I think it's great that Peno and Ru are working it out mostly on their own. Sorry about Dave's space, but I'm sure Dave understands, ha! But I'm with you, I don't think non cat zones exist in a cat household. I think it's easier to keep kids out of spaces than determined cats. hehe. Give him a squish for us!
It does look like it was made for him! I am assuming the blanket is to defeat the cat hair in the no cat zone?!?! I think that usually just makes them want to sit there more, LOL!
What is this 'no cat zone'? Does not compute.
