Rupert definitely has his own personality, but there are many little things he does that reminds me of Rocky. So far, their temperaments seem to be very similar. Like Rocky, I don't think Rupert is going to a lap cat (at least not to the extent that Tux was...if you didn't know any better, you'd be forgiven for thinking Tux might have some Rag Doll in him). Rocky would sit in a lap occasionally, but he much preferred to sit beside you. Rupert seems to be the same in that regard.
And while so far, Rupert doesn't seem to be as food-motivated as Rocky was (Peno can actually eat her food right beside him without worrying he's going push her our of the dish), he does share one other favourite past time of Rocky's...
Making a kitty fort out of my curtains....
As I mentioned last post, we've had beautiful, non-humid weather, which means the back door is open (screen still closed... sorry Peno) almost 24/7. Rupert thinks this is a fabulous spot to pitch a tent and watch the world go by.
And Ru-Ru makes the cutest little chatter when they do.

Oh the chatter ............I've read about that.
So far, I haven't seen Giroux do that. When he seems something interesting the tail goes WILD!!!
That's exactly what my ferals did when I brought them inside. They shredded my curtains to make tents so they could sit by the sliding doors. They stopped doing that but they did tear a hole in the Ikea couch cover so they could climb inside the couch frame to hide. My house looks like I have a lion in here somewhere. All the soft furniture is a ragged mess.
Oh IF I Had long curtains I bet my cats , namely Pie, would do so too
I always translate that chitter as, 'Ooh, yummy snacktoy!"
