Border town

As I mentioned yesteday, the weekend was absolutely beautiful. It's still far too early to plant anything new, but that didn't stop me from playing in the dirt.
With all I've got growing already, and what I've got planned, I needed to do a little expansion. The lawn right in front of the Butterfly garden was more weeds than grass, so it was a good option for expansion.
But didn't want to make the garden too big and not have any way to get in and weed it. Dollarama had the perfect solution with 12"x12" tiles covered in tumbled stones. It took several trips (those suckers  are heavy!) But I got enough to envelop the Little Bee Garden too.
Not only does it look nice, but it should keep lawn maintenance at least a foot from my garden plants!

I can't wait until its all filled out with plants!

Hi, What a great idea! I love the way this looks. We have been enjoying nice weather and working in the garden too. I'm taking the week off until I can get my laptop back from repair but I want to wish you a nice Easter.

Hi Valerie, what a great idea! I saw the stone tiles at our Dollarama the other day, along with a few other garden things! Your garden looks great.
Is that one of your new Old Navy dresses? Love the pattern!

Troy is very good about keeping the lawn away from beds. FOr cutting ease of course.
I cant wait to see your gardens progress.
As for me, I have about 5 seedlings in the winter sow in one jug. Nothing in the other two. nada. But I'm still okay with it. The lupine is what I wanted most and that is the sprouter.

Very good idea! Looks amazing even before everything blooms. It's going to be beautiful in full bloom.

I've seen those tiles, but I have never thought of a use for them. That is a fantastic idea...
