Into the woods

I've got a little cast of startitis going on here....this week I've cast on three new projects. You've seen the French Braid Cardigan already.

Next up is a pair of socks
The pattern is Hundred Acre Wood, and it's part of the Socktopus KAL.  Sadly, as you can see, it's too big for my dainty foot. It's the smallest size, so I'm going to have to rip and go down a needle or two.
This project has reminded me how much I love a nice plan sock yarn, though. The Alley Cat takes the colour so nicely, resulting in subtle, rich variations. Fortunately, it's frogs well too!

Well, at least you didn't get too far when you noticed it was too big.

The yarn is a beautiful color!

It's the perfect yarn for this pattern. I did go down a needle size but I'm sticking with the medium because I want to keep the purls between the leaves.
