Dress-up time

It's quiet and cold here... a few snowflakes drifting here and there (though not accumulating). The cats are sleeping, there's chicken a-roasting, I've got a cup of hot tea... the perfect day to work on some Christmas projects.

So that's what I'm doing. A while back, Mom gave me most of her button stash. It was inherited from a great aunt who was a wee bit of a hoarder. When I got it, I sorted through most of it, bagging up all the like buttons and organizing them in colour-coded jars. But there's one jar that's just full of single buttons (and the odd pair if you have the patience to sort through them..)
It's the perfect thing to have around for projects like doll clothes. Little Kina got a pretty pink pearl....
And these sturdy green ones were just perfect for the Flared Jacket.
Both garments were knit in some leftover Stray Cat (another great thing to hang onto for doll clothes).

There was even enough yan to make a matching Eyelet Beret.
"Would you pleeeeeeeeeeeeease go to the store and get yourself your own dolly...."

Tux must be the most patient cat ever! Cute dolly clothes. Love that pearl button.

Tux looks quite jaunty in spite of his obvious disgust.
Those sweaters are adorable. I'm with Tux. You need a doll to model.

Poor Tux! Seems a bit cruel to me, to take advantage of him that way!
