Fit for a prince(ss)

Winter Knitty is up.

I'll be honest. I haven't been overly thrilled with the last few Knittys. Nothing has really jumped out at me. But this time... something did.

Princess Franklin, by Franklin Habit.

I've been looking everywhere for a nice, but easy knitted plaid pattern for a scarf for Dave. Princess Franklin is actually a cowl, but it will be nothing to adapt it to a scarf.

Now I've just got to choose some colours, and take a second look at that Christmas schedule to see if I can fit it in....

Get Out of My Head!! I wrote this post (okay, technically it was an email to one of my knitting besties at the school). I can't agree with you more, on being a) less than enthused by the last few issues and b) absosmurfly smitten with this pattern. It looks like it will take some of my brain power, so you go first. I hope you do it, and post about it!

Black, gold, yellow ---- AKA Black Watch.

It's my favorite tartan.

There was some nice stuff in this Knitty; but it was the Twist Collective that really jumped out at me this time, fell in love with Accordian and now I need to do some dyeing (after I get all my gear back from storage)

I feel the same way about knitty. The cowl looks woven to me……am I missing something?
If Rachel's comment on twist collective sends me running to the yarn shop…well HOORAY

Wow. I mean, wow! Such a simple idea, and what stunning results. I may have to make this myself.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. I haven't even seen a Knitty in ages but I saw his tweet about the pattern so I looked at it. It looks like so much fun to make. I can't wait to see what colors you choose.
