Growing

Princess Franklin is growing quite nicely.

It's about 15 inches now. I haven't decided how long I'm going to make it just yet, but I'm guessing at least 40.

I'm a lot further along than I expected to be, but it makes excellent TV knitting - add in a season of Sherlock and a season of Ripper Street and it's a recipe for non-stop knitting.

I retrospect, I probably could have made this a little narrower. I cast on 60 stitches, but I probably could have gotten away with 50, maybe even 45... but I'm past the point of no return - not frogging now.

And it will be twice as warm, when worn doubled over... right?

I love a wide scarf. It's like wearing a blanket and what's not good about that when it's as cold as it's been.

It's looking great and I agree a wider scarf is much more snuggly. A narrow one is often just there for the pretty; not the practical

You are really moving along! I love the color of the bright blue. It has a pretty sheen to it.

Very pretty. I like a wide scarf too, and this one is going to be a great one to wrap around the shoulders this winter!
