This post is brought to you by the letter S

Snowpocalypse:
We are in the midst of another snowstorm, and this one is a doozy - probably the worst one so far. Though to be fair, most of the others have hit overnight, or on the weekends.

I stayed home and have spent much of the day shovelling and the rest of the time snuggled with the cats. This was view out my front door this morning:
Not fit for man nor beast
It got progressively worse through the afternoon. I think days like this are Mother Nature's way of telling us all to take a break. I'm not one to argue.

Squirrel
The backyard wasn't looking much better and the poor bird feeder was covered in snow.
The snow is more than a foot deep, and up to two feet in some spots
I braved the drifts to clean it off and fill it up. The poor creatures won't be finding much on the ground and the neighbour's feeders all all out in the wind. The birds were on it minutes after I went back inside. And so was someone else...
Nom, nom nom!
I'll probably have to refill it tonight.

Socks
The Mr. Dress-up KAL has reached the half-way point. There's still one month left to finish your pair.
These are as red as the cardinals outside
I'm just past the heel on my second sock. I've got to say, I love this sizzling red Twisted Top Cat. It's going to look so good with my favourite wedge shoes.

Sale.

In case you haven't seen the announcements on Ravelry or Facebook, Mom wanted to clear out some of the older yarns so we are having a store-wide, Sweetheart Sale.

Use the code Sweet30 and save 30%off your order. Mom found a couple of strays laying about the studio too and they are now up for adoption.
Top Cat Aran in Spring Tickle
Snowpocalypse seems like a perfectly valid reason to stock up on string!

Holy moly ...that squirrel is HUGE! I don't think your feeder is the only one he has visited lately. LOL

The socks are beautiful. That red really POPS!

Can't order anything until Canada Post fixes our community mailbox ... the boxes don't lock properly now. So there's no chance of me ordering anything right now, as much as I'd like to :)

I had to brave the snow today - Gavin had an adverse reaction to his antibiotics so I had to rush him for medical treatment. He's better now, although itchy with hives and we're trying different antibiotics. Fingers crossed!

I'm another who can't order, but mine is due to a lack of credit card now; by my choice due to my poor self control.

It certainly looks cold there; hope Mr Squirrel has a good undercoat to keep him warm.

Wowie...that's a lot of white stuff! I don't mind it coming down, I just hate when it hangs around. Here's hoping that some sun and warmer temps will help it on its way.

Oh wow...you really got hit by this storm. Staying inside and snuggling with the cats seems like the best plan! It is nice of you to get the bird seed out there for the birds...and squirrel. I agree -- he's a big boy! You have such beautiful yarns!!

Hey, looks like the view out my door! I bet you were colder and got more snow though. (We got 10"...not trivial, but not a disaster either- I still have shoveling to do- alas, no snow days for me!)

We didn't get quite as much snow as the past two Wednesday yesterday, but it was bad enough. School wasn't cancelled, the kids were disappointed. I found the snow heavier this time than the last two major storms, too. We probably still got close to 20cm.
