Many of you may remember that back in November 2012, I took my almost-waist-length hair and had it chopped into a pixie cut.
It's not the first time I've done a drastic cut like that. But it was the first time I've done "maintenance" in between. Normally I just let it grow, but this time, I had it styled a few times, losing a little length each time.
As a result, it's taken much longer to grow out. But as of this month, I can proudly proclaim...
...it's long enough for pigtails!
Yes, I know I'm 35 years old. But I guarantee you, I will wear pigtails till I'm 80 (or maybe even longer!) Besides... it's still too short for a pony!

Squeeeeeeeeeeee!
I'm working my way there. I have never, ever in my life had hair that was long and it's on my bucket list.
Will I make it???? I don't know. I don't even have piglets yet!
I WANT PIGLETS!!!!
I still rock the messy bun at 60 and will do so as long as I have hair. It's my thing. I just wish it would turn gray so I could do some color without all the stripping.
I love a bandanna pig tail look! I say you wear it how you love it!!! I just chopped mine even shorter. I know its not as fashionable as when its chin length but I love its ease!!
Congratulations! Pigtails are so much fun! I don't want my hair to be ever too short to not be able to do a pony tail. Your hair looks lovely colored too.
My goodness what a cute hairdo! Love it! I'm growing my hair out, it's about 10cm lower than my shoulders so it's getting there.. I love your haircolor too!
Cute little pigtails!! Wear them and have fun! It's nice to have hair short enough you don't have to do much to it...or long enough to put it in a tail.
Super cute! Maybe I'll give them a try this weekend!
So cute! I tend to keep mine longer, but there's a part of me wanting shorter, lower maintenance hair atm. I'm holding off though, each time I've given into that urge in the past I've then grown it out as fast as I can. I like being able to put it up.
