The stars are aligning

I've managed to add a few more dissapearing hourglass blocks to the pile
And I'm absolutely loving the fabrics in the layer cake. When I started the project, I'd hoped to sew at least one day. That's not happening, but I can still manage two or three each week, so I won't complain.
Now that I have a few more done, you can get more of a sense of how they will look all lined up together (Though I just noticed I've got some blocks going the wrong way - good thing I haven't sewn them together yet!)

I've still got 30 blocks to go, so this one won't be done any time soon. Some times it's fun not to rush a project.

It's beautiful! Those fabrics are so pretty together.

Something I would do well to remember ----- it's the journey, not the destination. LOL

The blocks really look good together-and yes, that is why it is always good to 'view' your quilt for a few days before you sew it together so you (hopefully) notice a misplaced block!

Lovely blocks. They will make a stunning quilt.

I usually lay my blocks out and "live" with them a few days before I sew them together so I can catch misplaced blocks or fabrics. Snapping a photo before sewing is also a good way to avoid sewing the blocks together incorrectly.

I find a photo always points out the mistakes I miss with my own eyes! LOL. Looking wonderful.
