Famous last words...
While her fur is short, it's really dense... and she had a bit of a messy bathroom incident that just matted right into all that fur. So into the tub she went.
It went surprisingly well. I figured she'd be full on chainsaw, but she mostly just stood there and cried, while Rupert stood outside the door and cried back (a bit of a role reversal for her - when it was Tux in the tub, she was the one on the other side of the door.)
After the bath, I was able to coax her onto the couch on a pile of warm towels
But she continued to give me the stink-eye while she worked at getting her fur dry.

Yeah...........I'd sleep with one eye OPEN for a good long while!
Oh, wow. I have never bathed a cat and really don't want to. Having said that I'm sure I just cursed myself. On the other hand, I do bathe the dogs almost every other day. Dogs are rather stinky by nature and little ones want to be on your bed or in your lap so it's non-negotiable much to their dismay.
Ahhhhh, poor thing. My son & his girlfriend have the same issue with one of their cats periodically. Luckily I have never had that issue with any of my cats. The only one we bathed regularly was Maestro - raising her from day one, we had to massage her after feeding, etc. Luckily she grew out of the need to be bathed fairly quickly.
Oh oh...if looks could kill I think you'd be in trouble. LOL!
Cat baths are a thing here too. If the cats get too much dander in the dryness of winter I bathe them. And yes we get stink eye too!
Oh, the looks you received! Yes, I have had one long-haired cat that needed baths; mostly from skin allergies. He cried each time pitifully but only once freaked out.
He will forgive you eventually! lol
I am totally stealing your line, "go full on chainsaw." I have it in me. Maybe I'm part cat! I'm glad she survived her bath. She's beautiful. Stink eyes are so funny from cats and kids and my mom!
