We are here! We arrived safely at about 8 last night (approximately 12 hour drive from home).
Hello America! We only has a short wait at the border and they pretty much just waived us through. Mom was driving so I cast on for a new sock to pass the time.
When we hit Pennsylvania, I was a good ways into the cuff.
Half way through Pennsylvania, I'd finished the heel! (boy is that a big state!)
When we hit Maryland, I was working my way down the foot.
I had to put the sock down in Washington - Mom got a little distracted by the sites, and one of us had to keep an eye on the traffic!
Not too long after that, I dropped my needle. We were traveling through some really dark thunderstorms and I couldn't find it, so I just put the sock away. I'm sure I'll have more time to work on it.
We've done a little exploring this morning, and are about to do some more now. I'll be back later this evening with another post.

Welcome ! You passed right thru hot and hazy New York!
Pennsylvania IS endless and there are waaay to many suicidal deer there. Sorry about the needle drop - that almost always happens to me late afternoon :)
