Leftover sweater bits...

If you're like most knitters, you tend to have yarn left over after a project... whether it's a few balls because you bought extra to make sure you had enough for your sweater, or just a few yards.

And most of us hang on to those scraps. But what do you do with those scraps? I've knit blankets, and doll clothes, and this time... at hat...
This is another Antler Hat, made from the Baruffa Merinos Otto that I had leftover from a sweater I made for Dad a few Christmases ago.

And then I made a goat
This is the Jelly Bum goat. He's made mostly from Madtosh Heritage. It was leftover from a cardigan I made for Mom that same Christmas. (I've also made a hat and mitts out of the left over... and gave a skein away... I had a lot of leftovers!).

And with these two little projects complete, I can now get back to my shawl knitting, because my Christmas knitting for 2013 is officially done!

I give the really small leftovers to my 3-year-old granddaughter. She holds them up and says, "Pretty!" then snips them to pieces with her toddler scissors. Better that than Grandma's knitting!

At least you've finished your Christmas knitting in January. Last year mine was still hanging around in March. This year I just scaled back my expectations. Easier that way.

The little goat is especially cute!

Awwwww....little goat poses so well. He's a natural!

Love the pattern on the hat. It reminds me of "Nutkin" socks.

Hooray for Christmas knitting being finished.

I LOVE the goat, though I think you know that since I told you about 100 times already. I'm so glad it gets to come and live at my house. :) YAY!

That goat is adorable!!! Almost makes me want to knit one, but I so do not enjoy knitting toys. But then again, he is soooo cute! LOL
