First. Sorry to anyone I scared yesterday with post! Burton is just fine. He's happy and healthy, and a total pain in the butt - just as he should be.
It's just that I noticed he's almost completely lost his kitten looks. At his neuter appointment, he weighed a solid eight pounds and I'm pretty sure he's grown since then. My Baby Burtie-Burt is a baby no more!
In other news...
My Amaryllis has bloomed!
I'm sure why I've never grown one of these before. It was so easy to grow. And just look at those beautiful flowers!
I think this is going to be a new Christmas tradition!

So pretty!
Can you plant this outside when spring comes? Will it bloom again?
I know what you mean about losing their kitten-look. Giroux is 3 now and he is definitely an "adult" looking cat now.
Still sweet and still my baby.
Pretty!!! I grew one ages ago and it was fun. I was tempted when I was at the nursery on Monday but my kitties eat everything green. I just bought them a $10 pot of kitty grass hoping they would lay off the tree. They threw up grass all night. Yay.
That is one beautiful specimen! They are easy and fun, aren't they?
Amaryllis are perfect for adding color to the dreary winter days. Your plant and blooms are beautiful.
Oh And it didn't fall over. !!! It is a lovely shade of pink
Ha! Da Boyz are going to act kitten-like forever, I think!
Stunning bloom-it is a great Christmas tradition! (My daughter just potted one today!)
Lovely sweet Burton will always be the baby!
I, too, did a double-take on your Burt post and am glad you're only missing Burt the baby! (And I am sure you know there's a remedy for that?) Love that your Amaryllis bloomed; last year all we got were green leaves! Merry Christmas!
Your amaryllis is beautiful. I have a red one just starting to unfurl. Merry Christmas!
