Sharp dressed tuxies

I had some downtime with work this week, so I was hoping I could square away the Tuxie top in the slow hours.
But I didn't quite manage it. Unfortunately, I ran out of pink fabric before I could do the outer borders. It's totally my fault. When I bought the pink fabric, I'd only planned on using it for corner stones. But then I changed my plan for the layout, and the 1/2 yard I bought just couldn't go far enough. I've got to head to Lens for a few other things, so I guess I'll add more pink fabric to the list!

The change in layout also means I'm ending up with a much larger quilt than the lap quilt I'd originally intended. But that's not a bad problem to have!

I love the pink. It really sets off the tuxies. One good thing about quilting is running out of something is not quite the catastrophe like it is in knitting.

Looking good! And now you have an excuse to head to Lens. ;-)

That pink adds such a great pop of color! Have fun shopping for more.

It will be so cute! I ran out of white background yardage, so it's off to JoAnn's for me.

A change here or there gives you a nice surprise in spite of the minor adjustments that come along, too! I like the look of this quilt-nice work!
