Travelling socks

As promised, I cast on a pair of socks for Dave for my travel knitting.
Nothing fancy, just a simple Vanilla. I got it started on the way to class last Monday, so it was ready for the trip. With two days of at least 6 hours travel (airport waiting + flight), I figure I can get quite a bit accomplished.

The yarn is our (now discontinued) Tabby Cat. I decided to hold this one back from the shop because the dye went all funky. I don't know how well you can see, but some of the green has an orangish tinge to it - it's actually kind of on the barfy side. Definitely not one of my better creations. But Dave is colour-blind, so he probably won't even notice!

I hope to have some good progress to show you when I get back. Who knows - maybe as you read this, I'm stretched out on a lounger by the pool... knitting away...

Oh sock knitting on vacation. PERFECT. I like the colors Val. Enjoy every bit of that trip. I'm thinking of you every day. Would you care to know that it is in the 20s with the whipping wind chill here today? Winter coats, hats, gloves and a deep desire to stay in the rest of the day and .....knit of course
