I know you've heard me say many times that I really loathe garter stitch. I know some people who just love it, but generally, it bores me to tears. So I'm just as surprised as you probably are to see this much progress on the dishcloth blankie
I don't know what it is, but I just can't seem to put it down. It makes fantastic TV knitting. And maybe it's the fact that I can knit a full ball in just a few hours. Then I'm onto a new colour, and it's fun the see the stripes progress.
It may seem like stripes are just random at the moment, but I do have a sequence, and you'll see it more as the blanket grows. I'd say I'm probably close to being about half done. I'm knitting it 36 inches wide, and plan to go about 60 inches long... but we'll see how long this garter love lasts.

Wow! That's a lot of stitching. I love the stripes.
Stripes make a project sooo much more enthralling! It's going to be very cute.
I love it! The color combo is so fresh and lovely.
Garter stitch is great for multitasking, and the stripes add just enough excitement to make it interesting when you actually have to look at your knitting!
Oh garter and I get in fights all the time. I love to see other people knit it up . Cotton and summer time are a good fit though!
I LOVE that mix of colors.
I love garter stitch mainly because I hate purling. And TV knitting is right up there with kitty paws in my book!
