Liar, liar, pants on fire!

As the title suggests... I'm a liar. I did not get one single project finished this weekend, as promised earlier... and I can't even blame Dave.

In view of the cooler evenings we've had lately, I opted to finish the fan shawl over the socks. Considering all the time I've had to knit this weekend (Dave and I barely left the house for once!) it should be blocking right now. But it's not. It currently looks like this...
There are only 4 half fans (only 19 rows each) and five rows of garter stitch edging left. Probably less than 3 hours of knitting.

So how come it's not finished? Well there were several idle hours of not knitting... just lazing around watching movies. Normally I knit while watching movies, but as the evenings wore on, I just had no drive to pick up the needles and keep knitting.

And the other reason is....Despite Miss Peno's best efforts to keep me from working on it... I can't keep my hands off the damn sockghan! It's addictive! I think I'm going to start calling it the crackghan.

Both projects are modular, but unlike the fan shawl, I don't seem to get bored with the crackghan. I think it's the fact that each square is a different colour, where the fan shawl is just more and more and more of the same.

So, there are only a few hours left before bed time, I could finish up the last few fans... but I won't... I'm off to get my mitred square sock yarn fix...

Very sad indeed. You can't wear a half done shawl, ya know.

LOL! I'll help feed your addiction soon. I've got some charity socks to finish up and mail by the 15th. Once I see what is left from that I'll be sending you some leftovers! I've got some set aside now, but I may as well wait til I have more. :)

Don't beat yourself up! They are both looking great, and they will get done exactly when they are supposed to, no sooner or later... it looks like your kitty has laid claims, so I wouldn't count on keeping that one to yourself...

Crackghan, snicker. It's gorgeous, though -- I can see why you can't put it down!

The sockghan is looking great - no wonder you can't resist it! And you'll finish the other shawl eventually, right?
